A Wallhanging

Scraps, scraps, scraps. I can’t throw them away. If there is more than a few inches of fabric there, they get saved.

Funny shaped and skinny little pieces that are too small to sew go into a bag to be used as stuffing.

Bigger pieces go back into my scrap box. And, they await the next idea. Many scraps left over from the pin-up quilt were still useable. Some became picnic sets. The rest have become these squares.

They will become a simple wallhanging. Four separate squares. Apart, but together.

Obviously, there’s some trimming that needs to happen here. But, so far, I’m just not entirely sure how to back or mount them. So, they’ve been left au naturel until the proper backing idea comes along.

Any ideas? I’m looking to avoid the traditional frame.
